Ronet’s father was tragically killed in a motor vehicle accident in 2018. Her mother mother moved away to find work, and Ronet and her two siblings are now in the care of their deaf, elderly grandmother. Thankfully, Ronet is a healthy girl and she has been able to remain in school. She is currently in third grade at a local primary school.
Ronet lives in a village near Kiburara, Uganda. Runyankore and Rukiga are the main languages spoken in this area. Kiburara is also home to Hope Community School, established by Covenant Mercies in 2020.
