Patience’s father died from a blood disorder, and her mother sadly remarried and abandoned the family. Patience is now in the care of her grandmother, who struggles to care for her basic needs. Thankfully, Patience has been able to remain in school in spite of financial challenges. She is performing well in the 4th grade at a local primary school. She is a healthy girl, which is a blessing.

Patience lives in a village near Nagongera, Uganda. Japadhola is the main language spoken in this area.
