Nafkot’s father was tragically killed in a car accident. As his father’s death was sudden and unexpected, no preparations were made for the family’s financial security and well being. His widow has been able to occasionally wash clothes for people, but it does not generate enough income to provide for even their most basic needs. Thankfully, Nafkot is a healthy boy, and he has been able to enroll in preschool in spite of financial challenges.

Nafkot lives in the capital city of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa. Amharic is the main language spoken in this area.
