Millen’s father drowned in a river in 2022. This left her and her five siblings in the sole care of their mother who only has a small plot of land and sells eggplants to provide for their needs. Thankfully, Millen is a healthy girl and she has been able to remain in school. She is currently in second grade at a local primary school.
Millen lives in a village near Kiburara, Uganda. Runyankore and Rukiga are the main languages spoken in this area. Kiburara is also home to Hope Community School, established by Covenant Mercies in 2020.
