Michael’s father died of gastrointestinal issues in 2022. This left him in the sole care of his mother, who struggles to provide for him. Thankfully, Michael is a healthy boy and he has been able to remain in school. He is currently in 2nd grade and sponsorship with Covenant Mercies will enable him to enroll at Lighthouse Christian School where he will receive a quality Christian education at one of our partner schools.

Michael lives in a village near Ndola, in the Copperbelt Province of Zambia. Bemba is the main language spoken in this area. Ndola is also home to Covenant Mercies’ partner school, Lighthouse Christian School.
