Mariamu N.

Location: Maundo, Uganda

Mariamu’s father was tragically killed in 2019. Sadly, her mother died in childbirth that same year. Mariamu is in the care of her elderly grandparents, who struggle to provide for her needs. Thankfully, Mariamu is a healthy girl and has been able to remain in school in spite of financial challenges. She is currently in the third grade at a local primary school.

Mariamu lives in a village near Nagongera, Uganda.  Japadhola is the main language spoken in this area.
