Location: Ndola, Zambia

Mapalo’s father is unknown, and he lost his mother in 2015 following a brief illness. He is now in the care of his elderly grandparents. Thankfully, he is a healthy boy and he has been able to remain in school. He is currently in 5th grade at a local community school and sponsorship with Covenant Mercies will enable him to enroll at Lighthouse Christian School where he will receive a quality Christian education at one of our partner schools.

Mapalo lives in a village near Ndola, in the Copperbelt Province of Zambia. Bemba is the main language spoken in this area. Ndola is also home to Covenant Mercies’ partner school, Lighthouse Christian School.
