Kate’s father died of septic shock in 2022. This left her and her 2 siblings in the sole care of their mother, who struggles
to provide for them. Thankfully, Kate is a healthy girl and has been able to remain in school in spite of financial challenges. She is currently in eighth grade at Lighthouse Christian School, where is receiving a quality Christian education at a school that we partner with.

Kate lives in a village near Ndola, in the Copperbelt Province of Zambia. Bemba is the main language spoken in this area. Ndola is also home to Covenant Mercies’ partner school, Lighthouse Christian School.
