Justina’s father died in 2017 from gastrointestinal disease. Her mother then abandoned the family, and her whereabouts are unknown. Justina was left in the care of her uncle who also struggles with stomach issues. Justina is healthy and in the 5th grade. Sponsorship with Covenant Mercies will enable her to enroll at Lighthouse Christian School.
Justina lives in a village near Ndola, in the Copperbelt Province of Zambia. Bemba is the main language spoken in this area. Ndola is also home to Covenant Mercies’ partner school, Lighthouse Christian School. Â
