John Paul’s father died of unknown causes while in prison. Sadly, his mother remarried and abandoned him and his sister. The children are in the care of their grandparents, who struggle to provide for them. Thankfully, John Paul has been able to remain in school, although he is only in 1st grade. He is a healthy boy and is performing well in school.
John Paul lives in a village near Nagongera, Uganda. Japadhola is the main language spoken in this area.
