Location: Ndola, Zambia

Hope’s father died suddenly in 2019 after complaining of chest pain. This left her and her two brothers in the sole care of their mother. Their mother works as a house maid, but struggles to provide for her children. Thankfully, the children are healthy and have been able to remain in school. Hope is currently in ninth grade at Lighthouse Christian School.

Hope lives in a village near Ndola, in the Copperbelt Province of Zambia. Bemba is the main language spoken in this area. Ndola is also home to Covenant Mercies’ partner school, Lighthouse Christian School.
