Location: Ndola, Zambia
Luyando’s father died of liver failure in 2023. His mother’s whereabouts are unknown and he is now being cared for by his grandmother. Luyando is currently in third grade at a local primary school, and sponsorship with Covenant Mercies will enable him to enroll at Lighthouse Christian School. Both Luyando and his grandmother are in good health.
Luyando lives in a village near Ndola, in the Copperbelt Province of Zambia. Bemba is the main language spoken in this area. Ndola is also home to Covenant Mercies’ partner school, Lighthouse Christian School. Â
