Location: Kiburara, Uganda

Daniel’s father died of epilepsy in 2021. Sadly, his mother later died of the same disease this past May, leaving him in the care of his grandmother who cares for many other grandchildren and only owns a small piece of land. Thankfully, Daniel is healthy and he has been able to remain in school in spite of financial challenges. He is currently in first grade at a local primary school.

Daniel lives in a village near Kiburara, Uganda. Runyankore and Rukiga are the main languages spoken in this area. Kiburara is also home to Hope Community School, established by Covenant Mercies in 2020.
