Christine’s father died in 2015, leaving her and her twin sister and 5 other siblings in the sole care of their mother who only generates a small amount of income by selling maize at a trading center. Thankfully, Christine is a healthy girl and she has been able to remain in school, although she is only in 3rd grade because of the difficulty that her mother has had in paying school fees.

Christine lives in a village near Nagongera, Uganda. Japadhola is the main language spoken in this area.
