Celestine’s father died of malaria in 2022, leaving him and his five siblings in the sole care of their mother, who struggles to provide for them. Thankfully, Celestine is a healthy boy and he has been able to begin school in spite of their circumstances. He is currently in preschool at a local primary school.
Celestine lives in a village near Kiburara, Uganda. Runyankore and Rukiga are the main languages spoken in this area. Kiburara is also home to Hope Community School, established by Covenant Mercies in 2020.
