Abreham’s father left his mother when she was pregnant with him. She subsequently remarried and had two more children, but her second husband also left and she has sole responsibility for all three children. She washes clothes to support her family, but struggles to make ends meet. Thankfully Abreham has been able to stay in school and is currently attending a local secondary school. He is in good health, which is a blessing amidst hard times.

Abreham lives in the capital city of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa. Amharic is the main language spoken in this area.
