Able’s father died of heart failure in 2024, leaving her and her brother in the sole care of their mother who has been blind since age 12. They all live in a one-room house. Thankfully, Able is a healthy girl and she has been able to remain in school. She is currently in second grade at a local primary school.
Able lives in a village near Kiburara, Uganda. Runyankore and Rukiga are the main languages spoken in this area. Kiburara is also home to Hope Community School, established by Covenant Mercies in 2020.
