Blessing’s father died of HIV/AIDS in 2019, leaving her in the sole care of her mother who is also HIV/AIDS positive. Thankfully, Blessing is a healthy girl and is HIV negative. She has been able to remain in school and is currently in second grade. Sponsorship with Covenant Mercies will enable her to enroll at Lighthouse Christian School.

Blessing lives in a village near Ndola, in the Copperbelt Province of Zambia. Bemba is the main language spoken in this area. Ndola is also home to Covenant Mercies’ partner school, Lighthouse Christian School.
