Harriet’s father died of a heart attack just this past June. This left her and her 2 siblings in the sole care of their mother who struggles to provide for them with no source of income. Thankfully, Harriet is a healthy girl and she has been able to remain in school. She is currently in fifth grade at a local primary school.
Harriet lives in a village near Nagongera, Uganda. Japadhola is the main language spoken in this area.
