Location: Maundo, Uganda

Shalom lost her father in 2021 following a long illness. She is now in the sole care of her mother, who struggles to provide for her and her five siblings. Thankfully, Shalom is a healthy girl and has been able to remain in school. She is currently in second grade at a local primary school.

Shalom lives in a village near Nagongera, Uganda.  Japadhola is the main language spoken in this area.
