Rahmet’s father died from HIV/AIDS, leaving her in the sole care of her mother who is also HIV/AIDS positive. It is a struggle for her to provide for even the most basic needs of her children. Thankfully, Rahmet is a healthy girl and she has been able to remain in school. She is currently in 3rd grade at a local primary school.
Rahmet lives in the capital city of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa. Amharic is the main language spoken in this area.Â
