Mapalo’s father died of food poisoning before she was even born. This left her and her three siblings in the sole care of their mother. With the help of Covenant Mercies, Mapalo will be able to enroll at Lighthouse Christian School where she will receive a quality Christian education. Mapalo is a healthy girl, which is a blessing amidst difficult circumstances.

Mapalo lives in a village near Ndola, in the Copperbelt Province of Zambia. Bemba is the main language spoken in this area. Ndola is also home to Covenant Mercies’ partner school, Lighthouse Christian School.
