Location: Maundo, Uganda

Lakeri’s mother died in childbirth in 2020, and sadly her father died of prostate cancer just 2 years later. Lakeri and her 6 siblings are in the care of their aunt, who also cares for 6 other orphans as well as her own children. Thankfully, Lakeri has been able to remain in school in spite of financial challenges. She is currently in third grade at a local primary school. She is a healthy girl, which is a blessing.

Lakeri lives in a village near Nagongera, Uganda.  Japadhola is the main language spoken in this area.
