Location: Kiburara, Uganda

Joshua’s father died of alcoholism in 2012, before he was even born. This left him and his three siblings in the sole care of their mother, who struggles to provide for them with no land or money to rent land. Thankfully, Joshua is a healthy boy and has been able to begin school in spite of financial challenges. He is currently in kindergarten at a local primary school.

Joshua lives in a village near Kiburara, Uganda.  Runyankore and Rukiga are the main languages spoken in this area.  Kiburara is also home to Hope Community School, established by Covenant Mercies in 2020.
