Josephine’s father was tragically killed in 2017. This left her and her five siblings in the sole care of their mother who lives in a home with her extended family. Josephine has been able to enroll at a local primary school, but she is only in second grade. Thankfully, she is a healthy, lively girl in spite of her circumstances.

Josephine lives in a village near Nagongera, Uganda.  Japadhola is the main language spoken in this area.
