John lost his father to pneumonia in 2022. This left him in the sole care of his mother, who struggles to provide for him. Thankfully, John has been able to begin school in spite of financial challenges and is currently in kindergarten. He is a bright, healthy boy.
John lives in a village near Kiburara, Uganda. Runyankore and Rukiga are the main languages spoken in this area. Kiburara is also home to Hope Community School, established by Covenant Mercies in 2020.
