Blessing A.

Location: Kiburara, Uganda

 

Blessing lost his father to kidney failure this past August. This left him and his brother in the sole care of their mother, who struggles to provide for them. Much of their money was spent and land was sold to pay for his father’s treatment. Thankfully, Blessing is a healthy boy and has been able to remain in school in spite of financial challenges. He is currently in 3rd grade at a local primary school.

Blessing lives in a village near Kiburara, Uganda.  Runyankore and Rukiga are the main languages spoken in this area.  Kiburara is also home to Hope Community School, established by Covenant Mercies in 2020.
