Hanna’s father abandoned the family seven years ago, and has never returned. Hanna is now in the sole care of her mother who washes people’s clothes to support her family. Thankfully, Hanna is a healthy girl and she has been able to remain in school. She is currently in 3rd grade at a local primary school.
Hanna lives in the capital city of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa. Amharic is the main language spoken in this area.Â
