George lost his father to complications related to diabetes in 2019. This left him and his brother in the sole care of their mother, who has a small business but does not generate enough income to provide for them. Thankfully, George is a healthy boy. He has not yet been able to begin school, but sponsorship with Covenant Mercies will enable him to enroll at Lighthouse Christian School where he will receive a quality Christian education.

George lives in a village near Ndola, in the Copperbelt Province of Zambia. Bemba is the main language spoken in this area. Ndola is also home to Covenant Mercies’ partner school, Lighthouse Christian School.
