Location: Maundo, Uganda

Catherine’s father was beaten to death by debtors in 2020. Sadly, her mother remarried and abandoned Catherine and her brother. They are in the care of their grandmother, who struggles to provide for them. Thankfully, Catherine has been able to remain in school in spite of financial challenges. She is currently in first grade at a local primary school. She has difficulty hearing, but is otherwise healthy.

Catherine lives in a village near Nagongera, Uganda.  Japadhola is the main language spoken in this area.
